In prosperous times indie filmmaking is a tough field. And these aren't exactly prosperous times. It's difficult to land a distributor, but before that, hard to get into film festivals - even with good press in Variety.

So before shooting is completed, I've decided to get word out on the new Alejandro Adams film Babnik. I've read a private synopsis of it (Alejandro happens to be a close personal friend) which is not publicly available, and I'm excited about the prospects for this heavily character-driven and psychologically complex thriller set in the US but voiced almost entirely in Russian.
